Panormitis Museum

In the center of the monastic complex of Panormitis you will see the Byzantine Museum. Here you will also see bottles-offerings that faithful followers left in the sea and hoped they would reach the monastery. One of the most characteristic ones is what came from Leipzig in 1998, with oil, wax, incense and names "for commemoration." There are also items dating back to 1930, a carved canopy of an epitaph of the 18th century, swords and guns and a clock of 1896. In the folklore museum many items stand out: the outfit of the sponge divers, grindstones, various types of sponges, old utensils and tools etc.
